No spoilers (as if it would make a difference).
10/10 would recommend.
1. Obviously you have to turn your brain off to watch this movie and the original movie. Make it into a drinking game or something, eat an M&M every time a Jeager makes a sword.
2. Australia per capita gets the most fucked up and supplies the most jeager pilots.
3. Giant robots vs giant aliens is always a success story for a movie.
4. It kinda actually has a bit of a plot and some plot twists.
5. Overall I think the characters are endearing.
6. How many times can you rebuild Tokyo?

I think i would of enjoyed it better if ihad pregamed with tequila like i did the first one.
That made for a fantastic, stupid time with ftiends

Yeah it’s more fun the less seriously you take it. To be fair there is a dwayne wade movie coming out with a giant gorilla too...

If you enjoyed the first movie you will certainly enjoy this movie. The people who are giving it bad reviews obviously don’t get that giant robots vs giant aliens is pretty much the best basis for a movie ever thought up.
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

I really like the first one. It has likable characters, a neat story for a dumb movie, cool looking monsters, and an AWESOME score.
2? Holy balls it’s bad. 1/10. All the cool music is gone. All of it. They brought back the main them for about twenty seconds to show people doing Yeager maintenance...The two main characters have stupid interactions. The yaegers are hardly able to be differentiated from the next. The kaju are lame and lacking in all the cool irredecent, crazy colors. Charlie Day, one of the best parts of 1, is a generic, and bad, bad guy.
Worst moment? When generic kid loses his copilot but can’t tell he’s dead until he looks over. Hey, remember how it’s a big fucking deal in the first one when your copilot dies? Like it’s the central reason why the main character quits? Because he was mid drift when he dies.
I had two 7.0% beers before seeing it. I’m glad you enjoyed it. I wish I could have .

Why have I never thought to pre game something like this? That sounds much better that waiting until halfway through before you get drunk enough to start enjoying it.

I went in hoping for good but not expecting bad. The first is pretty universally liked and is definitely not a B movie. Guillermo del Toro actually gave a shit. I’m not sure what happened with this. Maybe they should have waited so he had time or the desire to do it.
